Slow internet (could it be your hard drive)

So I have recently become a big fan of SSD technology for one simple reason. I have a laptop with SSD and a Laptop with a 7200 RPM sata drive. today I attempted to download a movie on my 7200 RPM drive and it told me 4-6 hours for the download. I started the download because I really wanted to watch the moving. however I decided to do the same on my other laptop.

and Low and behold it is coming in at about 45 min to download. it is downloading at 1450/kbs and the other is downloading at 25-240/kbs.

some would say it is the network but if I switch the connections I am seeing the same thing. so My last test is to put in my new 60 GB SSD drive on the other laptop and see how it goes.
