So I have 2 laptop’s and frankly am a little disappointed with the speed at which outlook 2010 was opening. So I Broke down and purchased an SSD drive for my HP tablet. it is smaller and has a smaller processor then my dell E6400. And thought that would be a good test to compare the 2 after I had installed the SSD Drive.
Honestly I like the Dell better it has a better screen and the Keyboard feels better. But wanted to see how this will work. Well. the facts are in. My HP is 4-5 times as fast loading outlook then my Dell.
On my Dell with no SSD drive 64bit 4 GB of RAM outlook 2010 loads in about 30 Seconds. On my HP TX2 64 bit 4 GB RAM outlook loads almost instantly. Same with word and Excel.
So I guess that Means SSD for me all the time. from here on out. it is just to obvious.
This makes me wonder about other server issues related to drives. More now then ever before.
